Live, Embrace, Enjoy Local at the 2018 Gawler Fringe

The Gawler Fringe Opening Event will be back in Walker Place in 2018! From Friday 16 to Sunday 18 February there is a jam packed program of entertainment. The heart of Gawler will be a hive of activity day and night with plenty of home grown talent and some great feature acts as well.

There’s bound to be something for every member of the family, so why not join us in the heart of Gawler for a weekend of FREE Fringe Festivities!

Friday 16 February: Friday afternoon sees the official opening and Welcome to Country ceremony. A variety of local solo performers and some quality bands will keep you entertained throughout the afternoon and evening. The action won’t stop when night falls; on Friday night we’re bringing you rock legend, Dave Gleeson! this is a performance not to be missed!

Saturday 17 February: From 9am on Saturday the entire day is filled with back to back performances by community groups, bands and solo performers covering a multitude of genres. There’s more fantastic night time entertainment that’s sure to get you up on the dance floor with performances by Nuvo and Zkye and the guyZ.

Sunday 18 February: Sunday morning is all about the kids with a fun and interactive Storytime session by the Gawler Public Library. Sunday also sees some of our local schools showcasing their musical talents, followed by plenty more local acts. What better way to wrap up the event than opening up the main stage for the ever popular Open Mic Session.

Come along and experience what Gawler does best; local musos and performers, a relaxed family-friendly environment, food and drinks from Gawler’s local businesses and service clubs, Kids Zone and activities, all mixed with our friendly small town vibe.
